The 5th Annual Leslie McCravy Memorial 5K Run/Walk benefiting Pet Helpers took place on May 11th at Folly Beach.
This annual event is hosted by Zonta Club Of Charleston and Liza’s Lifeline to raise funds and awareness to help victims of domestic violence.
On October 4th we poured it forward at the Square Onion, with wine, snacks, live music, dog treats and raffle prizes with our furry friends. Funds raised at this event will be used for the boarding, vetting and feeding of animals of domestic violence victims until the victim can get back on their feet.
The fifth annual Liza’s Lifeline Golf tournament was held September 15th at Shadowmoss Golf Club.

Event was held Saturday, May 14th on Folly Beach. This race is in memory of Leslie McCravy, a victim of domestic violence. Her friends and family have elected for all proceeds to go towards helping Pet Helpers achieve its mission of finding homes for all adoptable animals in the Lowcountry, through adoption and low cost Spay/Neuter.
The Zonta Club of Charleston hosted the Wine and Cheese Affair this past May at the Wells Gallery. Money raised goes to support educational programs, workshops and transitional loans to help women who have escaped from abusive relationships.
The 2nd Annual Breaking the Silence Awards Gala took place on January 28, 2012 at the Harbour Club in downtown Charleston. The event was hosted by the Zonta Club of Charleston and Liza’s Lifeline of SC. The key note speaker of the event was Laura Hudson of South Carolina Crime Victim’s Council. This annual event honors those individuals and organizations that are making a difference for domestic violence victims.
